Exzolt® is a newly approved, prescription parasiticide in the United States for the control of Northern fowl mites (Ornithonyssus sylviarum) in laying hens. It contains fluralaner, an isoxazoline-class compound that targets the mite nervous system, providing rapid and sustained control following treatment. Exzolt® is administered through the drinking water as a two-treatment regimen, with the second treatment given seven days after the first, allowing for effective flock-level control without the need for individual bird handling or topical applications. The Promotion

This January, The Poultry Doc is running a weekly giveaway designed to support responsible, veterinarian-led access to poultry medications while strengthening relationships between flock owners and their local veterinary clinics. Each week throughout the month, one winner will be randomly selected from eligible participants who sign up for the promotion. Winners will be announced through The Poultry Doc's social media channels and notified directly using the contact information provided at the time of entry.

To enter, participants must provide the contact information for a licensed veterinary clinic they use or plan to work with. If selected, the giveaway product will be shipped directly to the designated veterinary clinic, not to the individual. Access to the medication is strictly contingent upon the clinic's veterinarian independently determining that the product is appropriate and issuing a prescription, where required. No medication will be dispensed without veterinary approval.

The participating clinic will receive three samples of Exzolt®, all provided directly to the licensed veterinary clinic for professional use. One sample may be used for the selected winner only if prescribed by the veterinarian, and two additional samples are provided for the clinic to use at its professional discretion. Participation in this promotion does not obligate any veterinarian to prescribe, dispense, or recommend Exzolt®, and no prescription decision is influenced by this promotion.
